Comparison · no spin
Lockers, hotel, booking app or a staffed point? Here are the differences that actually matter — and when each option wins.
There are four realistic ways to leave luggage in Warsaw, and none of them wins every time. It comes down to three things: when you collect your bags, how big they are, and whether you return to the same spot. Below is an honest comparison — including the cases where you should pick someone other than us.
| What matters | Station locker | Hotel reception | Booking app | Staffed point (us) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Collection hours | usually while the hall is open | usually until evening, hotel's rules | the partner venue's hours | daily until 3 a.m. |
| Bag size | fixed locker dimensions | usually no limit | depends on the venue | no limit, oversized welcome |
| Guaranteed space | only if one is free | for hotel guests | yes, on booking | yes, on booking |
| Who is liable | a machine, no staff | the hotel | the partner venue, not the app | us, on site |
| A human to talk to | no | yes | through the app | yes, Polish and English |
| Plans change | pay the machine again | at the hotel's discretion | through the app | pay for another day on site |
| Payment | on site | usually free for guests | via the platform, with commission | 20/25/35 zł per item per day |
When you come back to the very same station within a few hours, carry one small bag and want it done without talking to anyone. A locker is the fastest option and you don't walk anywhere. It falls apart with a large suitcase, in peak season (all taken), and in the evening, when access ends together with the station hall.
If you're staying at that hotel, storing bags after check-out is usually free — hard to beat on price. Just confirm the cut-off time: receptions typically close the matter in the evening, not overnight. If you're not a guest, the hotel won't take your bags.
An aggregator is a booking platform, not a storage facility: it directs you to a partner venue and takes a commission on the transaction. It wins when you're touring several cities and want one app for everything, or when nothing else operates in that district. Just remember that the venue is responsible for your bags, and its hours and terms can differ from what the app shows.
When you collect late in the evening or at night — we're open daily until 3 a.m., longer than lockers and longer than receptions. When the bag is large or awkward (skis, a stroller, an instrument) and won't fit a locker. When you want a guaranteed spot and a person rather than a machine. And when your day runs along the Royal Route anyway — we're on the way to the Old Town, not a detour from it.
Is a locker cheaper than staffed luggage storage?
For one small bag and a couple of hours, a locker is often cheaper. With a large suitcase or a longer stay the gap closes, because bigger lockers cost more too. Our rates are 20 zł small, 25 zł standard and 35 zł large — per item, per started day.
Will a hotel store my luggage if I'm not staying there?
Usually not. Receptions take bags from their own guests, typically on arrival day before check-in and on departure day after check-out.
What's the difference between an aggregator and a luggage storage?
An aggregator is a booking platform that sends you to a partner venue and takes a commission. The venue itself is responsible for your bags, and it — not the app — sets the hours and terms.
What's the latest I can collect luggage in central Warsaw?
Our point at Nowy Świat 22 hands bags back daily until 3 a.m. — later than station lockers and later than hotel receptions. That's the decisive difference before night trains and early flights.
Do you take skis, a bike or a stroller?
Yes. Oversized items are priced on site; we're not limited by locker dimensions. It's the most common reason travellers give up on station lockers.
Do I need to book to be sure of a space?
Booking online takes 30 seconds and guarantees a spot even in peak season. We also take walk-ins, subject to available space.
What if I'm late collecting my bags?
Come whenever you get here, within opening hours until 3 a.m. If you go past the day you booked, you simply pay for another one on site — nothing is forfeited.
