A weekend in Warsaw: a 2-day itinerary

Published 2026-06-104 min read

Two days is the sweet spot for a first visit to Warsaw — enough for the Old Town, the river, a museum and some serious pierogi. Here's a relaxed, walkable weekend plan that keeps your hands free.

Day 1 — the classic centre

Start by dropping your bags at our storage on Nowy Świat 22, then walk the Royal Route up to the Old Town. Have pierogi for lunch, wander the Market Square and Castle Square, and finish with sunset on the Vistula boulevards.

Day 2 — parks, museums & a new district

Begin in Łazienki Park (peacocks and a palace on the water), then choose a museum: POLIN, the Warsaw Uprising Museum or the hands-on Copernicus Science Centre. In the afternoon, explore trendy Powiśle or arty Praga across the river.
